Faraday Future Ships Latest Electric Vehicle to China for Market Testing and Validation

LOS ANGELES – Faraday Future Intelligent Electric, a California-based company specializing in electric mobility, has announced the shipment of one of its latest production-intent FF 91 Futurist testing vehicles to China. The vehicle, which was completed at Faraday Future’s Hanford manufacturing facility and has already arrived in Shanghai, will undergo market testing and validation of its charging and infrastructure compatibility.

The shipment is a validation of the company’s US-China dual-home market strategy, which calls for production and sales in both the world’s largest markets for electric vehicles. Final preparations and vehicle testing are underway in preparation for the production-intent vehicles built for the Chinese market. The company expects to start production of a saleable FF 91 Futurist in late March 2023, with deliveries starting in April.

“I’m excited to see the realization of our US-China dual-home market strategy take shape,” said Chen Xuefeng, Global CEO of Faraday Future. “Stay tuned as we prepare the Ultimate Intelligent TechLuxury FF 91 Futurist for the two largest global EV markets.”

The FF 91 Futurist is undergoing testing and validation through the Product and Technology Generation 2.0 program, which consists of significant upgrades of systems and core components in both the vehicle and the I.A.I area. With the recent round of financing commitments and the help of its global supply chain partners, the company is closing in on the start of production.

Competing with luxury car brands such as Ferrari, Maybach, Rolls Royce, and Bentley, the FF 91 Futurist offers a unique and intelligent EV experience with extreme technology and an ultimate user experience. With an industry-leading 1,050 horsepower, an EPA-certified range of 381 miles, and a 0-60 mph time of 2.27 seconds, the FF 91 Futurist is set to revolutionize the electric vehicle market.
