The RIZON e16M, equipped with a dump body, is tailored for municipal tasks while cutting fleet emissions. Its adoption showcases how local governments can embrace zero-emission solutions. Andreas Deuschle, Global Head of RIZON Truck, noted, “Colwood’s choice exemplifies how municipalities can foster sustainability through innovative fleet decisions.”
This delivery follows RIZON’s recent handovers in Vancouver and Quebec, signaling rising demand for electric vehicles as Canada advances toward its 2050 emissions goal. The Incentives for Medium- and Heavy-Duty Zero-Emission Vehicles (iMHZEV) program provides approximately $75,000 at purchase, with British Columbia offering up to $75,000 more in provincial incentives.
RIZON trucks, distributed by RIZON Truck Canada, boast a 15,995 to 18,850 lb. gross vehicle weight and a range of up to 257 km per charge. They support DC Fast Charging and Level 2 AC Charging, ensuring adaptability. With nine dealer locations across Canada and plans to grow, RIZON strengthens its presence.
