FLO Collaborates on EV Technician Certification

FLO, renowned for its leadership in electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions in North America, has partnered with SAE International, a global authority on mobility standards, to launch a new Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) Technician Certification program.

Through this collaboration, the intention is to meet the rising demand for qualified technicians as EV charging stations increase in number. Benoit Lemieux-Lepage, FLO’s Senior Network Operations Manager, played an instrumental role in shaping the program’s curriculum, emphasizing the need for skilled technicians for an enhanced EV charging experience.

The certification will be a testament to the expertise of technicians who are responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of EV charging stations. After completing a thorough training course, aspiring technicians will undergo an exhaustive exam under SAE ITC Probitas Authentication to earn the EVSE Technician Certification. The certification and the associated exam are slated to be accessible by the end of 2023.
