This move is in response to the booming electric vehicle market and the increased need for advanced, cost-effective battery systems. By expanding their space from 1,000 to 4,000 square meters, hofer powertrain underscores its dedication to advancing efficient and cutting-edge drive solutions.

“The trend towards electric vehicles in every automotive market segment is driving the demand for standard battery tests and innovative testing approaches. The upgraded facility will house advanced testing labs for cell, module, and pack assessments, enabling a broad spectrum of development activities and specialized tests tailored to customer needs. This enhancement will allow for more efficient prototype assembly and larger volume testing, thereby increasing the efficiency and speed of large project handling.
“Our employees in the battery teams are known for their quick handling of special inquiries, innovative spirit, and strong customer focus in the dynamic market. The expansion creates even more space for prototype assembly and enables a large testing environment for higher test specimen volumes, significantly increasing the efficiency and speed of testing processes in large projects,” Illgen added.
