Hyundai Motor UK announces IONIQ 6 range pricing and specification

Premium and Ultimate trim levels, prices starting from £46,745

Leatherhead – Hyundai Motor UK has announced pricing and specifications for the IONIQ 6 range. Built on Hyundai Motor Group’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), IONIQ 6 is equipped with an array of advanced technologies and a customer-centric, spacious interior, with a focus on ethical design IONIQ 6’s streamliner design provides an ultra-low drag coefficient of just 0.21, assisted by its low-sitting front surface, active air flaps at the front and wheel gap reducers. The cocoon-shaped interior serves as both a comfortable hideaway and personal space, replete with optimized legroom, practical features and sustainable materials to facilitate a mindful, eco-friendly mobility experience.

In addition to style and efficiency, IONIQ 6 also delivers the highest safety standards with a EURO NCAP 5-star rating. With seven airbags as standard, IONIQ 6 is also available with the next level of Hyundai Smart Sense Advanced Driver Assistance Systems that offers a wide range of safety systems that ensure both safety and convenience on the road such as parking sensors with on-screen dynamic parking guidance, 7 airbags including front, thorax and pelvis, Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA), FCA – Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist – Car, Pedestrian, Cycle & Junction Turning, HDA – Highway Drive Assist Level 2, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA), Lane Follow Assist (LFA), Lane Keep Assist (LKA) – Line and Road Edge, Parking Collision Avoidance Assist-Reverse and Forward (PCA-R/F), Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist (RCCA) and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) with Individual Tyre Pressure Warning.

Hyundai Motor UK announces IONIQ 6 range pricing and specification

IONIQ 6 has LED headlights with Intelligent Front Lighting System (IFLS). IFLS uses matrix beam technology to automatically adjust the light beam, maximizing the field of vision for the driver by adapting light output according to road situations whilst not affecting other road users.

The E-GMP platform of IONIQ 6 provides customers with the choice of either a rear-wheel drive powertrain offering 228PS and 350Nm or an all-wheel drive powertrain with 325PS and 605Nm. All models feature the long-range 77.4 kWh battery, with the E-GMP platform’s standard 800v charging system providing 350kW ultra-fast charger compatibility and includes a standard battery heating system to optimize charge times in all conditions.

IONIQ 6 will also be Hyundai’s first model to offer an Over-the-Air (OTA) software update feature for various vehicle systems. In addition to OTA updates to the satellite navigation and media system, OTA technology also allows drivers to ensure their vehicle is running the most recent updates to various vehicle control units for electric devices, driving assist functions, high voltage battery operation and more, to provide a safer and more convenient driving experience, without the need to visit a Hyundai service center.

As already introduced on IONIQ 5, V2L also features as standard on IONIQ 6, with internal Vehicle 2 Load (V2L) providing 3 pin plug compatibility to power devices directly from the high voltage battery. IONIQ 6 also provides the capability to power devices directly from the vehicles rear charge port with a V2L adapter which is available from all Hyundai retailers.

Starting from £46,745, the Premium Rear Wheel Drive adding to this with a trim level that includes 20” alloy wheels, electrically operated and folding door mirrors, flush door handles, privacy glass, front and rear LED lighting and rear spoiler with integrated LED brake light. Internal features include electronically controlled and heated front seats with separate lumbar support, heated rear seats, 12.3″ Touchscreen Satellite Navigation and Media Centre with Apple CarPlay™/Android Auto™ and Bluelink® connected car service with 3-year subscription.

Hyundai Motor UK announces IONIQ 6 range pricing and specification

The Ultimate Rear Wheel Drive is priced from £50,245 and builds on the Premium trim level with the addition of automatic flush fitting door handles, eco-leather seat trim, driver’s seat position memory function, relaxation front seats with ventilation function, sunroof with electric tilt and slide operation, blind spot view monitor, drivers head-up-display, surround view monitor, remote smart parking, parking collision avoidance assist and BOSE premium audio with 7 speakers and additional subwoofer.

IONIQ 6 Ultimate also features LED steering wheel lights that provide vehicle-to-driver interactions when carrying out a number of different functions such as voice recognition, reverse gear selection, EV charging status, and vehicle welcome and goodbye. Further driver-centric functions on the Ultimate include Active Sound Design (e-ASD), a technology that gives IONIQ 6 a unique and defining sound under acceleration. Customers choosing the Ultimate specification can also specify the option of digital side mirrors.

IONIQ 6 Premium and Ultimate models are available in a choice of 11 colors. Byte Blue Pearl is a no-cost option, with all other pearl and metallic finishes a £585 option, with matte finishes a £685 option.

Many of IONIQ 6’s interior touchpoints use eco-friendly, sustainable materials. These include eco-processed leather, which uses flaxseed in the dyeing process to reduce water waste and plant-based extracts, recycled PET fabric, bio paint derived from vegetable oils and recycled fishing net. Sustainable materials are also applied to the exterior, including recycled paint pigment from end-of-life tires in the exterior color of the cladding.
