Rightcharge and Green Flag Unite to Simplify EV Charge Point Installation

Rightcharge collaborates with Green Flag to streamline EV charge point installation at homes and workplaces. The partnership will leverage Rightcharge’s industry-leading recommendation engine, aiming to expedite the UK’s transition towards electric vehicles.

What’s Happening

Leading charge point installation platform, Rightcharge, has formed a strategic alliance with top UK breakdown service, Green Flag, to expedite the nation’s shift towards electric vehicles (EVs). The partnership aims to simplify the process of EV charge point installation in workplaces and homes, facilitating a seamless transition for Green Flag users.

Why It Matters

As users of the Green Flag app on iOS and Android, customers can now seamlessly access Rightcharge and identify suitable charge points using the platform’s state-of-the-art recommendation engine. The partnership enables them to conveniently choose from an assortment of home charge points, access competitive pricing from over 100 verified installers, and make secure payments for their installations through Rightcharge, providing an extra layer of protection similar to the AirBnB model.

Key Points

Rightcharge’s advanced Installer Management System, ‘Flow,’ is instrumental in earning their stellar 4.7 Trustpilot rating. By monitoring each customer’s journey, Flow ensures high-quality service delivery. Only installation partners with top-notch performance can offer their services, ensuring Green Flag members receive swift responses and superior installations.

By opting for a smart charger, Green Flag customers can also save an average of £434 per year on energy bills and utilize electricity that is around 25% cleaner than that consumed during peak hours.

Bottom Line

As of April 2023, the UK has more than 1.25 million plug-in electric cars, including over 760,000 battery-electric vehicles and 490,000 PHEVs. This figure is expected to surge as the nation anticipates the 2030 ban on new petrol and diesel vehicle sales, and the public charging infrastructure continues to evolve.

Rightcharge CEO, Charlie Cook, and Green Flag Managing Director, Katie Lomas, expressed their excitement about the partnership’s potential to create a greener, more sustainable future for the UK by making EV charging more accessible, efficient, cleaner, and affordable.
