EVBox, a leader in electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, has unveiled the EVBox Livo 2, an advanced home charging station that builds upon the capabilities of its predecessor, the EVBox Livo. Originally launched in 2022, the EVBox Livo featured smart charging capabilities, including solar charging via an EEBUS-compatible home energy management system. The new EVBox Livo 2 enhances this functionality, allowing solar charging through either a third-party home energy management system or EVBox’s Dynamic Load Balancing kit and the EVBox Everon app.
Solar Charging at Home: The EVBox Livo 2 is tailored for homeowners who seek to optimize their energy usage with solar panels and an EV. By integrating the Dynamic Load Balancing kit, users can control their solar charging more effectively. The EVBox Everon app offers three charging modes:
- Full Power: Charges at maximum power using both solar and grid energy.
- Hybrid: Utilizes solar energy primarily, supplemented by grid power when necessary.
- Full Solar: Relies solely on solar power for charging.
For homeowners with additional large energy loads, such as heat pumps or air conditioning, the EVBox Livo 2’s ability to integrate with a third-party energy management system can provide comprehensive energy optimization.
