Farizon Auto Launches Farizon G Truck Product Series

What’s Happening

Farizon Auto, the nascent energy commercial vehicle brand under Geely Holding Group, has introduced its Farizon G Truck Product Series, featuring three innovative new energy products: the Farizon G pure electric heavy truck, Farizon G methanol hybrid heavy truck, and Farizon G reformed methanol fuel cell heavy truck. Based on Farizon’s advanced GXA-T architecture, these groundbreaking trucks are poised to play an instrumental role in supporting logistics operations during the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games later this year.

Why It Matters

The GXA-T, an exclusive architecture for new energy heavy trucks, is designed to cater to a full range of heavy truck applications. This architecture offers enhanced solutions for the logistics sector, with vehicles equipped with intelligent computer systems enabling meticulous energy management, extensive route planning, and intelligent capacity allocation.

Key Points

The Farizon G Series trucks leverage the GXA-T architecture to offer diverse powertrains tailored to different logistical operations. The Farizon G pure electric heavy truck is equipped with Farizon’s i-MPS central drive train, aimed at reducing operational costs and expanding use cases for electric heavy trucks. The Farizon G methanol hybrid heavy truck, boasting a range exceeding 1,500 km, ensures eco-friendly operations for long-haul logistics. Farizon, capitalizing on its extensive experience with methanol vehicles, continues to invest in methanol reformation technologies and fuel cells in pursuit of a practical path to global carbon neutrality.

Fan Xianjun, CEO of Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group, announced the company’s ambitions: “Having sold 150,000 new energy commercial vehicles, Farizon is now targeting our next 150,000 through continued technological and business model innovation. Over the next five years, we aim to be the first brand to sell 1,000,000 new energy commercial vehicles.”

Hervé Bertrand, Vice President and Design Director of Farizon, emphasized the importance of commercial vehicles to sustainable global development and the company’s commitment to efficiency and environmental responsibility.

Bottom Line

Farizon Auto announced plans to unveil its next-generation new energy semi-truck, the Farizon “Homtruck”, in August. This follows the 2021 release of the “Homtruck” concept, with production and first deliveries slated for early 2024. As per Farizon’s plans, the Homtruck will be among the most advanced and environmentally friendly commercial vehicles on the road, prioritizing efficiency, safety, and sustainable powertrains. This launch signifies Farizon’s commitment to spearheading the transition to new energy commercial vehicles, positioning the company as a leader in the pursuit of global carbon neutrality.
