Karma Automotive has debuted the Amaris, a striking 2-door coupe featuring its next-generation Extended-Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) powertrain, blending high performance with practical range. Production is slated for Q4/2026. Alongside this, the company revealed that the Gyesera, originally an all-electric 4-door, will now adopt an EREV powertrain and updated styling, arriving later this year. Due to shifting market preferences for EVs, Karma has delayed the fully electric Kaveya super-coupe to 2027. These moves underscore Karma’s focus on EREV technology for the premium and ultra-luxury segments.

Key Highlights:
- Amaris features a robust EREV powertrain with a turbocharged 4-cylinder ICE generator, targeting 0-60mph in under 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 165mph.
- Its design showcases a carbon fiber and aluminum body, 22″ forged aluminum wheels, and unique touches like the Comet Line and upward-pivoting “swan doors.”
- Gyesera, transitioning to EREV, succeeds the Revero with refreshed styling and is expected later this year.
- Karma positions EREV as a solution offering EV performance with gasoline refueling flexibility, targeting luxury buyers.

Karma Automotive’s President, Marques McCammon, emphasized this direction, stating, “Karma Automotive remains at the forefront of EREV powertrains, and believes now more than ever that the freedom of refueling either with gasoline or electricity is ideally suited to the marketplace.” The Amaris builds on the Karma Revero’s all-aluminum spaceframe, accelerating its development timeline. Its sleek design includes a clamshell hood with Target Lighting and an aero-efficient rear spoiler, enhancing stability at high speeds. The Americana-inspired side exhaust hints at its performance pedigree.
This strategic pivot reflects broader industry trends, as premium brands reassess EV timelines amid evolving demand. Karma’s portfolio, manufactured at its Moreno Valley, CA facility, continues to grow, with the Gyesera arriving in 2025 and the Kaveya following in 2027. The company’s commitment to EREV technology positions it as a pioneer in balancing luxury, performance, and practicality for discerning drivers.
