Honda, Acura EVs Join Tesla Superchargers

Honda’s initiative is part of a broader strategy to make EV ownership more convenient. By 2030, Honda and Acura EV owners will have access to approximately 100,000 DC fast-charge points across North America, including the Tesla Supercharger network, the new IONNA DC fast-charging network, and existing networks like EVgo and Electrify America. This expansion aims to address one of the primary concerns for potential EV buyers: access to reliable and widespread charging infrastructure.

Ryan Harty, assistant vice president of Sustainability & Business Development at American Honda Motor Co., Inc., emphasized the importance of this expansion: “Adding Tesla Supercharger network access to the charging networks already available to our EV customers means industry-leading fast-charging access for Honda and Acura EV drivers. By the end of this decade, we strive to provide Honda and Acura EV drivers with the most convenient and easy charging at more than 100,000 charge points nationwide, helping people choose to purchase an EV for the many benefits of driving one.”

This development is expected to boost the appeal of Honda and Acura’s electric vehicles, such as the Prologue and ZDX, by offering greater flexibility for long-distance travel. With Tesla’s extensive Supercharger network—known for its reliability and speed—added to the mix, Honda and Acura EV owners can look forward to a more seamless driving experience. As the EV market continues to grow, such collaborations highlight the industry’s shift toward interoperability and customer-focused solutions.
