Kempower, a leader in DC fast-charging solutions for electric vehicles, has partnered with Revel to enhance EV infrastructure in New York and San Francisco. New charging stations featuring Kempower chargers have been installed at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and in San Francisco’s Mission District. These installations significantly increase charging capacity, reduce wait times, and support the growing demand for electric vehicles in urban areas. The partnership underscores both companies’ commitment to accelerating the transition to sustainable electric mobility.
Key Highlights:
- The JFK station adds 24 fast chargers, more than doubling the airport’s EV charging capacity to 46 ports.
- The San Francisco station includes 12 chargers with dynamic charging technology, offering speeds up to 320 kW.
- Both stations are strategically located: the JFK station is in the airport’s for-hire vehicle lot, and the San Francisco station is at 199 Erie Street in the Mission District.
- Kempower’s chargers provide reliable, user-friendly solutions to meet the needs of EV drivers in high-traffic urban areas.

On March 21, Revel and the Port Authority opened a new EV charging station at JFK Airport, adding 24 fast chargers and more than doubling the airport’s charging capacity. With a total of 46 EV fast charging ports, the station significantly reduces wait times and improves traffic flow for for-hire vehicle drivers and travelers. The station is located within the airport’s for-hire vehicle hold lot, accessible via the Van Wyck Expressway or Belt Parkway.
“We are proud to support the expansion of EV infrastructure at JFK Airport, ensuring that for-hire vehicle drivers and travelers have access to fast, efficient charging whenever they need it,” said Monil Malhotra, president of Kempower North America.
Three days later, on March 24, San Francisco mayor Daniel Lurie inaugurated the new Revel charging station in the Mission District. The station features 12 chargers utilizing Kempower’s dynamic charging technology, capable of delivering charging speeds as high as 320 kW.
“At Kempower, our mission is to make EV charging as accessible and user-friendly as possible. Seeing our chargers powering this new Revel station in San Francisco is a proud moment for our team and a step forward for sustainable urban mobility,” said Jed Routh, VP of markets and products, North America.
Both charging sites highlight Kempower’s dedication to advancing electric mobility through partnerships with companies like Revel, providing reliable and user-friendly DC fast charging solutions.
“Our mission at Revel is to bring reliable fast charging to dense urban areas where EVs can have the biggest impact on quality of life, but where charging is hardest to come by,” said Paul Suhey, Co-Founder & COO of Revel.
