Kia America has announced its return to Electrify Expo, a nationwide tour focused on the popularization of electric vehicles (EVs). The tour will kick off in Long Beach, California, on Friday, May 19, with the intention of bringing together industry leaders in electrification to discuss the future of mobility. Attendees will have the opportunity to test drive the award-winning Kia EV6, GT version, and Niro EV, as well as preview the all-new EV9, Kia’s first dedicated three-row EV SUV. Kia will participate in five Electrify Expo 2023 events, including stops in Long Beach, San Francisco, New York, Seattle, and Miami.
Why It Matters
According to Steven Center, COO & EVP of Kia America, Electrify Expo is the premiere gathering for top companies and executives in electrification to collaborate on transitioning to an all-electrified vehicle future. The 2022 Electrify Expo events provided valuable insights into consumer attitudes towards electrification, and this year’s events will continue to shape the future of the automotive industry.
Industry leaders and attendees will discuss topics such as legislation affecting the EV industry, range anxiety, battery materials and sustainability, charging infrastructure, the future of autonomous driving applications, and supply chain barriers. Electrify Expo has expanded its industry-facing events and educational programs, with a full day of programming, industry leadership, and breakout sessions for the Auto and Micromobility categories in select markets. Executives from top mobility companies will address the challenges, insights, research, and trends facing the mobility sector as it moves towards an all-electric future.
Kia America’s return to Electrify Expo demonstrates the company’s commitment to making EV ownership easier and more accessible for more people. By participating in these events and collaborating with industry colleagues, Kia aims to contribute to the growth and advancement of the EV industry. In addition to showcasing its award-winning EVs, Kia is also working to bring more clarity and understanding to EV ownership through an EV Education 101 video series, which covers various aspects of EV ownership, including common terms, charging infrastructure, battery life, range, technology, and planning road trips.
