Volkswagen‘s electric ID. models are helping motorists kickstart 2025 with energy-efficient and sustainable resolutions. From cutting costs to improving well-being and reducing carbon footprints, these vehicles align with the most common New Year goals.

Key Highlights:

  • Cost Savings: Charging an electric car at home can cost about half as much as fueling a petrol vehicle, saving drivers money.
  • Stress Reduction: EV owners report lower stress levels due to smoother rides and fewer external irritants, including road conditions and fuel costs.
  • Environmental Benefits: Studies confirm EVs emit a fraction of the greenhouse gases compared to internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles during their lifetime.

Volkswagen’s ID. models offer financial benefits for those looking to save in 2025. Charging a medium-sized EV at home costs approximately 8p per mile, significantly lower than the 13p to 17p per mile for petrol or diesel cars. Volkswagen’s online calculator allows prospective buyers to see potential savings, while its partnership with OVO provides cost-effective home charging options at just 7p per kWh.

Electric vehicles also promote improved mental well-being. According to Volkswagen’s survey of over 3,000 UK owners, fewer EV drivers reported stress (42%) compared to ICE drivers (78%). EV owners also cited less frustration with road conditions and parking challenges. Range anxiety is diminishing, with 65% of EV drivers having traveled more than 150 miles on a single charge.

Environmental impact remains a major incentive for switching to EVs. Research from the Department for Transport reveals that EVs emit only a third of the greenhouse gases of petrol cars over their lifetime. Volkswagen’s Enter Electric platform emphasizes the brand’s commitment to battery recycling and sustainability across the supply chain.

Volkswagen’s ID. range includes the ID.3 hatchback, ID.4 and ID.5 SUVs, and the luxury ID.7 models. With prices starting at £30,850, these vehicles cater to various preferences and budgets, offering award-winning designs and technology.
