- Sales Success: The MONA M03 series, since its Pro version debut in August 2024, has achieved 120,000 units delivered as of May 2025, marking a rapid production pace.
The MONA M03 Max is positioned to make intelligent driving truly accessible. The name “MONA” itself signifies “Made of New AI,” underscoring XPENG’s commitment to integrating next-generation AI technology into vehicles for mainstream consumers. The MONA M03 was previously recognized as the 2024 Car of the Year by China’s Xuanyuan Award.
At the core of the M03 Max’s capabilities is XPENG’s AI Turing Smart Driving System. This system, supported by 27 high-precision sensors, provides a robust and comprehensive understanding of the vehicle’s surroundings, accurately detecting over 50 road elements. It enables a seamless Human-AI Co-pilot experience where the vehicle and driver intuitively share control. The system also boasts class-leading smart parking functions, including tight-space parking and point-to-point assisted driving.

Inside, the MONA M03 Max features the upgraded AI Tianji System 5.7.0 smart cockpit. This system offers ultra-fast voice command response times, with most commands executing in under a second. Over 90% of the vehicle’s functions can be voice-controlled. The cockpit includes the largest display in its segment—a 15.6-inch center screen—and an 18-speaker, 7.1.4 surround-sound system, creating an immersive “music cockpit.”
Beyond its smart features, the MONA M03 Max incorporates premium comfort and convenience upgrades typically found in more expensive vehicles. The driver’s seat now includes a tri-zone lumbar support system with a massage function. Exterior enhancements include frameless, minimalist-style side mirrors with heating, auto-folding, memory, and reverse tilt functions. The vehicle offers diversified range options, with the Max variant providing 600 km and 502 km versions, and the Plus variant offering 620 km and 515 km versions, catering to various user needs.
XPENG’s strategy involves replicating its class-leading ADAS from its flagship models to the MONA series by utilizing identical computing power and a unified software architecture, thereby democratizing advanced driving technology. The M03 Max represents a significant step in making high-level intelligent driving a standard, rather than a luxury, in the EV market.
