XPENG plans to continue expanding in Europe, targeting key markets such as Spain, Portugal, and the UK by the end of the year. In Sweden, the dealer network will grow from two outlets to twenty by the end of 2024, highlighting the company’s dedication to meeting customer needs.
A central part of XPENG’s strategy in Europe is its customer relationship focus, driven by over-the-air (OTA) updates. These updates, developed by the company’s 15,000 research and development engineers, incorporate customer feedback. More than 80% of the customer-requested improvements have already been addressed, underscoring XPENG’s commitment to customer-centric innovation.
At the event, Hans Jonsson, a customer of the G9 SUV, shared his positive experience, saying: “As customers, we feel very much a part of the XPENG family and team. To participate in the global Pioneer programme, co-develop the product and to actually experience the result based on customer feedback is remarkable. To my knowledge, never before have such a proportion of a car brand’s customer base been involved in the enhancements and updates to the product.”
XPENG also discussed its potential European manufacturing base, which could bring investment, jobs, and further business opportunities to the region. Jens Olsen, XPENG’s Executive Manager for Northern Europe, stated, “An EV manufacturing base is under consideration, bringing investment, jobs and business across the region. Europe’s global strategic importance to us, and our success here, means we are accelerating our plans in the region.”
With a strong focus on innovation, expanding the retail network, and the possible establishment of local manufacturing, XPENG aims to become a key player in the European EV market, offering premium intelligent vehicles that enhance the mobility experience.
