Zeem Solutions, a premier provider in electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and fleet management, has marked 2023 as a year of exceptional growth and achievement. The company reported a nearly tenfold increase in its operations, particularly at its Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) depot.
In 2023, Zeem dispensed over 1 million kilowatt-hours (KWh, equivalent to 1 GWh) of electricity, a milestone that underscores its significant role in supporting over 50,000 California homes for an average day. The company facilitated approximately 25,000 charging sessions for more than 7,700 vehicles at LAX, a dramatic rise from the 2,700 sessions recorded in 2022.
Adding to its corporate strength, Zeem welcomed three seasoned executives to its leadership team. Eric Back joined as Chief Operating Officer, bringing over 20 years of experience in clean energy and transportation electrification. Mike Abramson, with 18 years of financial leadership, was appointed Chief Financial Officer. Finally, John Meyer, a legal professional with 25 years of experience, came on board as General Counsel & Chief Privacy Officer.
Paul Gioupis, CEO of Zeem Solutions, commented, “Our business model allows fleets to transition much quicker, easier, and with no upfront capital outlay.” He emphasized the company’s role in facilitating fleet operators to meet zero-emission deadlines and sustainability goals. 2023 also saw an expansion in client base, including EV rental companies and fleet operators.
Mr. Back’s expertise includes major construction and infrastructure deployments, while Mr. Abramson brings valuable experience in investment banking, capital markets, and corporate valuations. Mr. Meyer’s expertise lies in contract negotiations, project financing, and regulatory affairs.
Zeem’s operations at its depots include 24/7/365 valet services, enhancing access to charging and fleet management efficiency. The company offers comprehensive solutions such as on-site charging, parking, security, maintenance, and cleaning for a range of EV fleets.
Highlighting Zeem’s environmental and social impact, Jake Erhard, Partner and Head of ESG at ArcLight Capital Partners LLC, stated, “It is exciting to see the rapid increase in utilization at Zeem’s facilities by fleets making the EV transition.” ArcLight, which committed $50 million to Zeem in 2022, views the company as a key player in the electrification mega trend. This partnership is geared towards advancing new infrastructure deployments, leveraging ArcLight’s existing electric power and real estate assets.
