“The Silverado EV RST has all the performance and capability of a traditional truck, plus all the benefits of electrification,” said Scott Bell, Vice President of Chevrolet.
Configurations and Safety Features
The Silverado EV is available in two configurations: the First Edition RST and the fleet-oriented WT model. Both come equipped with a range of standard and optional safety technologies.
First Edition RST Includes:
- Four-Wheel Steer
- Automatic Adaptive Air Suspension
- Multi-Flex Midgate and Tailgate
- 17-inch-diagonal LCD infotainment screen and 11-inch driver display
- Trailering-capable Super Cruise for hands-free driving
Performance and Capabilities
The Silverado EV’s new body architecture, which incorporates the Ultium battery pack into its structure, enables impressive range and performance. With independent front and rear suspensions, and power transferred via front and rear-drive motors, the vehicle offers a comfortable, confident ride both on and off-road.
“Our design and engineering teams created a pickup with impressive performance and capability,” said Kathy Gillespie, Silverado EV chief engineer. “It can tow, haul, and carry passengers comfortably.”
Charging and Power Features
Public DC fast charging capabilities of up to 350kW enable approximately 100 miles of range in 10 minutes. The PowerBase charging system offers up to 10.2kW of power for worksite or recreational needs, including the ability to charge another EV.
Interior Design and Utility
The Silverado EV is designed with functionality and flexibility in mind. The Crew Cab models provide spaciousness and comfort, with customizable first-row storage and an eTrunk for secure, weatherproof storage.
Technological Advancements
The Silverado EV features an advanced software system that evolves over time, hands-free start, and a large 17-inch LCD infotainment screen paired with an 11-inch driver display. A driver head-up display enhances the driving experience.
Production and Availability
Assembled at GM’s Factory ZERO in Michigan, the Silverado EV is available in multiple specifications, with the RST First Edition priced at $94,500 plus destination charges.
Chevrolet continues to expand its electric vehicle lineup, with more Silverado EV trims and range options set to be rolled out soon.
