Hyundai’s highly anticipated all-electric, three-row SUV, the IONIQ 9, will make its national debut at the 2025 Montreal International Auto Show, held from January 17 to 26 at Palais des congrès de Montréal. This marks the first public appearance of the IONIQ 9 in Canada following its global unveiling in November 2024. Hyundai’s booth will showcase its award-winning electric vehicle lineup, including a restored 2008 Elantra with over one million kilometers traveled.

Hyundai’s IONIQ 9 underscores the brand’s commitment to electrification, following the success of the IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6, both recognized at the World Car of the Year Awards. With a record-long 3,130 mm wheelbase, the IONIQ 9 provides an expansive cabin and a bold, dynamic design.
The model features advanced performance enhancements, including:
- Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) with a 160 kW motor or All-Wheel Drive (AWD) with dual motors.
- Innovative dual-motion active air flap system for improved aerodynamics.
- High-voltage NCM lithium-ion battery delivering up to 110.3 kWh of energy.
Inside, the IONIQ 9 boasts a panoramic curved display, floating dashboard, ambient lighting, and versatile cargo capacity to suit family or adventure needs.
Million-Kilometer Elantra Restored
Adding to the excitement, Hyundai presents a restored 2008 Elantra that surpassed one million kilometers in partnership with Roulez au Suivant. This unique restoration showcases Hyundai’s dedication to quality and longevity, with over 100 parts donated for the project.
