ABB E-mobility Delivers One Millionth Electric Vehicle Charger, Paving the Way for a Greener Future

Zurich, Switzerland – ABB E-mobility, a technology leader in electrification and automation, announced the delivery of its one millionth electric vehicle charger. This is a significant milestone in the company’s mission to enable an emission-free future through its smart and reliable EV charging solutions.

With a presence in more than 85 markets, ABB E-mobility has continued to grow and expand globally. In 2022, the company doubled its production capacity with the launch of a new $30 million, 16,000m2 production facility in Valdarno, Italy. The cutting-edge manufacturing site boasts seven production lines, capable of producing one DC fast charger every 20 minutes.

The company has also expanded into the United States, with the recent announcement of its new production facility, set to produce up to 10,000 chargers annually for public charging, school busses, and fleets. In addition, ABB E-mobility increased its stake in major Chinese charging provider, Chargedot, in 2022.
