Audi has announced the introduction of the 2025 e-tron GT lineup, featuring the new S e-tron GT and the high-performance RS e-tron GT performance. The RS e-tron GT performance emerges as the most powerful and fastest accelerating production Audi to date, setting new standards for the brand with significant power, battery capacity, and performance upgrades. Both models represent a continued commitment to electrification and performance in Audi’s evolving vehicle lineup.
Key Highlights:
- Performance upgrades: RS e-tron GT performance produces 912 horsepower, reaching 0-60 mph in just 2.4 seconds.
- Chassis enhancements: Includes push-to-pass function, RS performance mode, and upgraded air suspension.
- Battery advancements: Increased battery capacity to 105 kWh, enabling faster DC charging of 10-80% in about 18 minutes.
- Enhanced design elements: Features include new front and rear fascias, glass roof with transparency control, and forged carbon components.
- Exclusive editions: The S e-tron GT limited to 50 units with a unique Audi exclusive edition.
The 2025 e-tron GT lineup includes a new S e-tron GT model, serving as the entry-level version and building on the dynamic credentials of its predecessors. It brings enhanced battery capacity, increased range, and upgraded performance. The RS e-tron GT performance model, on the other hand, becomes the brand’s halo fully electric performance car, pushing power output and acceleration to new heights for Audi.
For the 2025 model year, the S e-tron GT boasts a power output of 670 horsepower, up from the previous 523 horsepower in the 2024 e-tron GT. This increased power allows the S e-tron GT to achieve 0-60 mph in just 3.3 seconds, 0.6 seconds faster than the earlier version. The RS e-tron GT performance, meanwhile, takes Audi’s performance capabilities even further with 912 horsepower, enabling acceleration from 0-60 mph in an impressive 2.4 seconds.
Design Enhancements and Technology
Audi has made considerable design revisions for the 2025 e-tron GT, including new front and rear fascias, wheel designs, and four new exterior colors. The interior of the RS model introduces a glass roof with transparency control, allowing drivers to adjust the roof’s opacity through the MMI display. This feature adds a unique, adjustable ambient light experience.
For the RS e-tron GT performance, Audi has introduced advanced features such as push-to-pass functionality, providing an additional 94-horsepower boost for up to ten seconds during acceleration, enhancing its performance capabilities further. Thermal management systems have also been optimized, with cooling systems that independently manage battery packs and electric motors to ensure peak performance in all driving scenarios.
Battery and Charging Enhancements
The e-tron GT battery pack has received notable upgrades, expanding from 93.4 kWh to 105 kWh, while reducing weight by 25 pounds. This upgrade, coupled with improved DC fast charging capability of 320 kW, allows the car to charge from 10-80% in just 18 minutes. The increased battery capacity also results in an improved driving range for both models, with the S e-tron GT expected to reach 300 miles on a full charge under optimal conditions.
Performance and Handling Improvements
A new air suspension system with a 2-chamber/2-valve setup enhances ride comfort and driving dynamics, replacing the previous 3-chamber/1-valve system. An optional active suspension also improves stability by managing body movement during acceleration and cornering. The RS performance mode—exclusive to the top-spec model—optimizes torque and suspension characteristics for superior handling on challenging roads or circuits.
Exclusive Design and Customization Options
The RS e-tron GT performance offers extensive customization with forged carbon elements and an optional carbon roof, creating a distinct appearance while increasing material strength. Audi also offers a limited 50-unit exclusive edition of the S e-tron GT, featuring Arabica Gray metallic paint, unique wheel designs, and a leather-free interior in Mint Gray and Mora Violet.
Small-Series Production and Ordering Details
All 2025 e-tron GT models are produced at the Böllinger Höfe facility, using a small-batch production model to integrate advanced digitalization techniques for efficiency. Audi dealerships in the U.S. are now accepting orders for both models, with starting prices for the S e-tron GT set at $125,500, and the RS e-tron GT performance at $167,000. Additional pricing and delivery details are available through Audi retailers.
Audi’s Vision for the Future
With the 2025 e-tron GT lineup, Audi continues to pave the way for an electrified future, showcasing their ongoing dedication to combining performance, luxury, and sustainability. As part of Audi’s broader electrification goal, the company aims to have at least 30% of its U.S. lineup electrified by 2025, with an eye towards CO2 neutrality by 2050.
