Blink Charging and AAA Collaborate to Enhance Nationwide EV Charging Solutions

What’s Happening

In a key strategic move to expand electric vehicle (EV) charging services, Blink Charging Co., a globally recognized manufacturer and provider of EV charging equipment, has announced a partnership agreement with the American Automobile Association (AAA). As part of this agreement, Blink will become a preferred supplier, delivering high-quality EV charging solutions to AAA-affiliated service providers across the United States.

Why It Matters

The partnership comes at a time when the EV market is experiencing exponential growth, with a rising number of electric vehicles hitting the roads. By making Blink’s advanced EV charging products and services available to a broader network of AAA service providers, the collaboration is set to significantly broaden the scope of EV charging solutions available to AAA members and other drivers.

Key Points

Blink Charging and AAA have a history of a synergistic relationship, with Blink previously installing on-site chargers at various AAA facilities. In an extension of this relationship, Blink will now provide its offerings to a wide array of AAA service providers, better accommodating the evolving demands for EV services.

The program is set to benefit 19 AAA clubs and affiliates at over 60,000 locations across the nation initially. These organizations will enjoy substantial cost savings due to a simplified ordering process and preferential pricing. Moreover, by introducing more EV charging solutions, AAA clubs can attract a greater number of EV drivers. The program will also equip roadside assistance providers with advanced tools to better service electric vehicles.

Bottom Line

Michael Battaglia, Chief Revenue Officer for Blink Charging, acknowledges the significance of this alliance, saying that it enables clubs and service providers to build a comprehensive EV charging infrastructure using Blink’s products and solutions. As EVs become increasingly prevalent, the demand for charging services and roadside assistance grows. Blink’s partnership with AAA is poised to meet this rising need, offering the same level of exceptional service and reliability that AAA has been synonymous with for over a century. In response, Cliff Ruud, Automotive Managing Director at AAA, Inc., emphasized AAA’s commitment to keeping pace with the automotive industry’s evolution and expressed excitement about welcoming Blink as a preferred supplier.
