The BMW Group plant in Dingolfing has begun production of the updated all-electric BMW iX, a model that has already sold over 130,000 units globally since 2021. This refresh brings significant improvements, including enhanced performance, a longer range, and a sportier design. With a range of up to 701 kilometers (WLTP cycle), the BMW iX solidifies its position as BMW’s longest-range electric vehicle and a key player in the company’s all-electric lineup for 2025, ahead of the “New Class” debut later this year.

Four years ago, at its launch, it paved the way for many future technologies here on-site. And: It marked the beginning of the all-electric vehicle era in our plant.” Alongside the iX, the facility now produces four all-electric models, including the BMW i7 and electric 5 Series variants, plus five plug-in hybrids, showcasing its pivotal role in BMW’s electrification strategy.
