Bollinger Motors announced that the all-electric Bollinger B4 is now eligible for the New York Truck Voucher Incentive Program (NYTVIP), an incentive aimed at encouraging the use of commercial electric vehicles. This eligibility allows Bollinger Motors’ customers to benefit from up to an additional $100,000 in credit from the New York State Energy and Research Development Authority (NYSERDA). Bollinger B4’s inclusion in NYTVIP signifies a push for sustainable transportation in the Northeast.
Key Highlights:
- Four Northeast State Incentives: Bollinger Motors has now qualified for incentives in four states, including New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
- New York Incentive: Provides up to $100,000 credit under NYTVIP for commercial electric vehicles.
- Federal Tax Credits: The Bollinger B4 also qualifies for $40,000 in federal tax credits through the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).
- Combined Incentives: Customers in the Northeast could benefit from between $70,000 and $140,000 in total incentives.
The Bollinger B4 Chassis Cab, a 2025 all-electric Class 4 commercial truck, is designed specifically for fleet needs and upfitter integration. Its chassis design is engineered to protect the 158-kilowatt-hour battery pack, offering superior safety and functionality for the commercial market. Bollinger aims to accelerate electric vehicle adoption by leveraging available state and federal incentives.
Jim Connelly, Chief Revenue Officer for Bollinger Motors, praised the Northeast states for their efforts in promoting sustainable transport: “We applaud the states in the Northeast who are working hard to create more sustainable transportation options. The commercial fleet market is primed for electrification, and the incentives available in the Northeast will accelerate the adoption of this important technology.”
In addition to the New York incentive, Bollinger Motors has also qualified for the following state incentives:
- Massachusetts: Up to $30,000 through Massachusetts Offers Rebates for Electric Vehicles (MOR-EV).
- New Jersey: Up to $90,000 through the New Jersey Zero Emission Incentive Program (NJ ZIP).
- Pennsylvania: Up to $20,000 through the Alternative Fuels Incentive Grant Program (AFIG).
The federal clean vehicle tax credits under the IRA provide an additional $40,000 per vehicle, further enhancing the financial attractiveness for fleet operators. The combined state and federal incentives could total up to $140,000, making the Bollinger B4 a valuable option for commercial fleet electrification.
“The financial incentives combined with the versatility of the Class 4 B4 to perform a variety of duty cycles creates incredible value for our customers,” added Connelly. “The B4 is a world-class, highly engineered vehicle that is capable and durable. It is well suited for urban driving. It will be an important part of many commercial fleets moving forward.”
