Cadillac has launched the LYRIQ-V in China at RMB 399,900 (approximately US$59,100), in a limited run of 124 units. The LYRIQ-V is the first Cadillac V-Series model localized in China and the brand’s first all-electric V-Series SUV, according to the company. Powertrain and Performance
At the core of the LYRIQ-V is a silicon carbide dual-motor all-wheel-drive system with technologies including dual-sided water cooling and segmented magnets. Cadillac reports peak output of 465 kW and peak torque of 863 Nm, with 0–100 km/h acceleration in 3.3 seconds — figures the company says make the LYRIQ-V the fastest Cadillac in China.
“LYRIQ-V brings the spirit of Cadillac V-Series into a new era for China,” said Will Stacy, vice president of Cadillac in China. “It expresses the V-Series DNA and craftsmanship that define Cadillac, while delivering a distinctly electric driving experience for customers who expect both excitement and refinement.”
Chassis and Braking
V-Series-exclusive chassis reinforcement and tuning were developed in part through testing at the Milford Proving Ground. The setup pairs front and rear high-rigidity five-link independent suspension with Brembo six-piston brakes, 21-inch lightweight flow-formed wheels and V-tuned Continuous Damping Control dampers. Three driver-focused functions can be activated through a V-Mode button on the steering wheel, supported by a V-exclusive performance cluster interface and signature sound tuning.
Design and Interior
As Cadillac’s first all-electric V-Series SUV, the LYRIQ-V measures 5,013 mm long, 1,977 mm wide and 1,627 mm tall, with a 3,094 mm wheelbase. Its aerodynamic package includes a front splitter, side air guides, a rear diffuser and a rear spoiler to support high-speed stability. The exterior uses an exclusive grey finish with a nanoscale matte treatment.
Inside, the cabin features V-exclusive front sport seats in Fine Nappa full-grain leather with adjustable side bolsters, memory, heating, ventilation and massage functions. A 23-speaker AKG audio system with Dolby Atmos adds four overhead speakers for a 7.1.4 configuration.
Body Structure and Safety
Cadillac describes a cage-style body structure with 17 horizontal and 10 vertical load paths, with high-strength steel and above accounting for 74.8% of the body structure. The battery pack uses enhanced protective materials, with high-strength steel and above making up 99.9% of its structure.
Availability
Customers in China can order the LYRIQ-V through Cadillac’s authorized dealers nationwide, as well as the official Cadillac app and mini program.
