Cadillac introduces the 2026 OPTIQ-V, a significant addition to its fifth-generation V-Series portfolio. This all-electric performance SUV blends sporty luxury with robust power, marking a new era for the brand’s performance offerings. The 2026 OPTIQ-V is poised to elevate Cadillac’s performance legacy, offering an exhilarating driving experience. According to John Roth, vice president, Global Cadillac, the OPTIQ-V will expand the V-Series portfolio and emphasize Cadillac’s global impact. Production is scheduled to begin in fall 2025, with sales across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the Middle East, and Israel.

Unified Charging and Agile Performance

A landmark feature of the 2026 OPTIQ-V is its integration of a native NACS (North American Charging Standard) inlet. This move by General Motors signifies a commitment to simplifying EV ownership and advancing a unified, open charging standard, providing customers with direct access to convenient fast-charging options. John Cockburn, OPTIQ-V chief engineer, highlighted this as a crucial step forward, reflecting leadership in engineering and dedication to expanding charging accessibility.

Designed for driving enthusiasts, the OPTIQ-V prioritizes a harmonious balance of aerodynamics, weight distribution, agility, and safety. It features standard dual motor all-wheel drive and a formidable 519 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. Velocity Max, a driver-selectable feature, unleashes the vehicle’s full performance. The 85-kWh battery pack enables an estimated 275 miles of range.

Additional performance-enhancing technologies include V-Mode, which allows drivers to save customized performance settings; Launch Control for thrilling straight-line acceleration; and Competitive Mode, designed to increase vehicle agility. Brembo® performance front brake calipers come standard, offering consistent, fade-resistant stopping power. The OPTIQ-V also includes standard Super Cruise, Cadillac’s hands-free driver assistance technology.

Athletic Design and Luxury Cabin

The OPTIQ-V’s exterior boasts a sporty aesthetic, featuring available royal blue calipers and unique blue accents on the rear quarter windows, inspired by the V-Series badge. The distinct front fascia includes a new grille design, V-pattern mesh, and a high-gloss black front splitter. An available carbon fiber package further enhances its aggressive styling. Iconic V-Series badges adorn the vehicle’s exterior, complemented by 21-inch satin graphite alloy wheels. Two new limited-edition exterior colors, Magnus Metal Frost and Deep Ocean Tintcoat, are also available.

Inside, the OPTIQ-V’s cabin reinforces its performance persona with luxurious details and innovative technology. Two interior palette options are offered: Noir with Santorini Blue accents, and Noir and Sky Cool Gray with Santorini Blue accents. Recycled materials are used for an exclusive darker patterned accent fabric, and the interior features Santorini Blue accent stitching. The seats showcase a unique V-Series fjords perforation pattern with embroidered badging. Genuine woven carbon fiber décor graces the center console, and ambient lighting themes adapt to different drive modes.

The OPTIQ-V’s advanced tech experience includes a standard 19-speaker AKG Studio Audio System with Dolby Atmos® and a stunning 33-inch-diagonal advanced LED display. Standard safety and driver assistance technologies include adaptive cruise control and enhanced automatic parking. Google built-in compatibility provides access to Google Maps and Google Assistant. The MSRP for the 2026 OPTIQ-V starts at an estimated $68,795.
