HORSE has commenced production of its cutting-edge eMotor at its Aveiro facility in Portugal, marking a significant milestone in hybrid and plug-in hybrid technology. The compact, radial flux eMotor delivers up to 49kW of power and 212Nm of torque, with capabilities to power vehicles at speeds of up to 130km/h in EV mode. This innovation reinforces HORSE’s commitment to providing efficient, sustainable solutions for next-generation mobility.

Key Highlights:

  • Advanced production capabilities: Four new production lines at the Aveiro facility enable a capacity of up to 160,000 eMotors annually, featuring precision tools like a three-head winding machine for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
  • Impressive performance specifications: The eMotor delivers maximum power of 49kW and 212Nm of torque, supporting hybrid and plug-in hybrid applications with both 100% electric and hybrid driving modes.
  • Dual driving modes: In electric mode, the eMotor powers the vehicle at speeds up to 130km/h, while in hybrid mode, it boosts the internal combustion engine for better acceleration and fuel efficiency. It also recovers kinetic energy during deceleration.
  • Strategic focus on electrification: The eMotor is designed for use in HORSE’s hybrid powertrain systems, leveraging the HR12, HR16, and HR18 internal combustion engines.
