Lucid Group and Panasonic Energy have announced a collaboration to power the Lucid Gravity SUV with Panasonic’s next-generation lithium-ion battery cells. The Lucid Gravity Grand Touring combines exceptional range, performance, and interior space, offering up to 450 miles of EPA-estimated range from a compact battery pack. This partnership highlights cutting-edge advancements in EV technology and sustainable design.

- Impressive interior space: Up to 120 cubic feet of usable cargo space in a mid-size SUV footprint, seating for up to seven adults.

The Lucid Gravity represents a new class of SUV, seamlessly blending the spaciousness of a full-size SUV with the exterior dimensions of a mid-size vehicle. Its design prioritizes versatility and a premium driving experience. The partnership between Lucid and Panasonic leverages cutting-edge battery technology, ensuring fast charging, safety, longevity, and unparalleled performance.
Panasonic Energy has a long-standing reputation for producing high-quality batteries, having supplied over 15 billion lithium-ion cells globally by 2023. These cells power millions of EVs without any battery-related recalls. The collaboration underscores both companies’ commitment to advancing EV technology and achieving sustainable mobility.
Production of the Lucid Gravity Grand Touring has commenced at Lucid’s Arizona facility, with a starting price of $94,900. The Touring variant, starting at $79,900, is set to debut in late 2025. Both models will utilize Panasonic’s advanced battery cells, produced in Japan and eventually in Kansas.
