Mercedes-Benz Trucks has made a significant impact at the Road Transport Expo with the UK debut of its long-haul electric truck, the eActros 600. This new model, designed for long-distance distribution, promises an impressive range and rapid charging capabilities, marking a notable advancement in electric vehicle technology.

  • Range and Charging: The eActros 600 offers a range of 500 km on a single charge, with the potential to reach up to 1,000 km in a day with recharging during statutory driver breaks. The Megawatt Charging System allows the batteries to recharge from 20% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes.
  • Battery and Driveline: The truck features a high battery capacity of over 600 kilowatt hours, supported by an efficient driveline. The eAxle integrates two electric motors and a four-speed transmission.
  • Prototype Display: The UK debut showcases a fully operational right-hand drive prototype with an aerodynamically optimized ProCabin. Series production is set to begin this year, with orders opened in November 2023.
  • Support Services: Mercedes-Benz offers a comprehensive support package through its eConsultancy team, including advice on truck selection, depot charging infrastructure planning, TCO optimization, public subsidies, driver training, and financial services.
