Mercedes to Build High-Power Network; Integrates Tesla Superchargers

What’s Happening

Mercedes-Benz is amplifying its customer-centric approach by integrating North American Charging Standard (NACS) in its electric vehicles starting in 2025. Simultaneously, the German automaker is expanding access to the Tesla Supercharger network for its customers from 2024. Mercedes-Benz is also venturing into the creation of its own Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging Network, aiming to inaugurate the first sites by the fourth quarter of 2023.

Why It Matters

As the first German original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to incorporate NACS ports into its upcoming electric vehicles, Mercedes-Benz underscores its commitment to the accelerating transition to sustainable transportation. The move is anticipated to significantly simplify the charging process for the customers and stimulate the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs).
