Mullen Automotive Inc. has announced the expansion of its Boston-area dealer, Eco Auto, into six additional states: Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont. This expansion aims to meet the growing demand for commercial electric vehicles (EVs) across these regions. As part of this effort, Eco Auto plans to purchase 180 commercial EVs from Mullen over the next 18 months, valued at an estimated $7.7 million. New deliveries are set to begin in September 2024.

Mullen’s commercial EV lineup includes the Mullen ONE, a Class 1 EV cargo van, and the Mullen THREE, a Class 3 EV cab chassis truck. Both vehicles are designed for urban last-mile delivery and are compliant with U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, the Environmental Protection Agency, and California Air Resources Board (“CARB”) certifications.
The Mullen THREE recently qualified for a $15,000 incentive through the State of Massachusetts MOR-EV program and a $45,000 cash rebate voucher through California’s Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Program (HVIP). The Mullen ONE is also eligible for a $3,500 MOR-EV incentive in Massachusetts.
Mullen Automotive continues to expand its commercial dealer network and has recently received Foreign Trade Zone status for its Tunica, Mississippi manufacturing center, offering benefits like deferment of duties owed and elimination of duties on exported vehicles.
