Pioneer Power Solutions Reports $1.8M in Early 2026 Orders

Pioneer Power Solutions reported $1.8 million in early 2026 orders for off-grid mobile EV charging, including school district, utility, and airport contracts across North America.

Pioneer Power Solutions secured approximately $1.8 million in new orders through mid-February 2026. The company’s off-grid mobile EV charging solutions attracted contracts from school districts, a major utility, and Canada’s largest airport operator, reflecting growing demand for alternatives to lengthy utility grid connection timelines.

Highlights

  • Pioneer received roughly $1.8 million in new orders in the first weeks of 2026, spanning school districts, a Southeastern utility, and a major Canadian airport.
  • Two school district contracts will deploy e-Boost units to charge electric bus fleets in California and Central Florida.
  • The company unveiled e-Boost D Mobile, a diesel or renewable diesel-powered platform, with its first order supporting airside fleet charging at a Canadian aviation hub.
  • A Southeastern investor-owned utility awarded Pioneer a contract for off-grid DCFC charging infrastructure at remote service sites.

California School District Deploys Mobile Charging for Electric Buses

Pioneer partnered with A-Z Bus Sales, Inc. to supply an e-Boost Mobile unit to a leading Southern California public school district. The unit delivers 180 kW of power through six DC fast-charging ports. It will support the district’s growing electric bus fleet, which serves approximately 13,000 students across more than 50 buses.

The off-grid solution addresses chronic utility connection delays that have slowed electric bus deployment. A-Z Bus Sales, California’s largest Blue Bird bus dealer, recently delivered its 1,000th all-electric, zero-emission bus. The company expects this project to lead to additional e-Boost orders throughout 2026.

Central Florida District Orders Two Units for 26 Electric Buses

One of the ten largest public school districts in the U.S. ordered two e-Boost PureEnergy units. Each features twelve 60 kW fast-charging ports. The units will charge 26 recently acquired IC (International) and Thomas Built electric school buses.

The Central Florida district operates more than 900 buses across 500-plus routes. It carries approximately 52,000 students daily. The deployment is expected to support continued expansion of the district’s clean energy fleet while addressing infrastructure gaps.

Southeastern Utility Awards Off-Grid Fleet Charging Contract

The largest investor-owned utility in the Southeast U.S. awarded Pioneer eMobility a contract for skid-mounted PureCharging infrastructure. The system features four dual-port 60 kW Heliox DCFC chargers, developed in collaboration with Heliox Energy, a Siemens company.

The chargers will be deployed at several remote service sites to power more than 50 EVs in the utility’s fleet. As a result, the project demonstrates how off-grid charging can replace traditional trucks and integrate clean transportation into large-scale fleet operations.

Canadian Airport Operator Orders New e-Boost D Mobile Platform

Pioneer secured a competitive bid to supply two e-Boost D Mobile units to Canada’s largest airport operator, which serves over 45 million passengers annually. The units will support daily charging of airside EV fleet vehicles and equipment.

Each e-Boost D unit distributes 100 kW of power to four 80A Autel Level 2 charging ports. Additionally, Pioneer partnered with a leading Canadian EV charger company to integrate charging hardware into the platform.

e-Boost D Mobile Platform Details

The e-Boost D Mobile is a new platform Pioneer designed during the second half of 2025. It runs on diesel or renewable diesel. Key factors driving the platform’s development include:

  • Growing renewable diesel demand, supported by the Clean Fuel Production Credit (45Z)
  • Strong market interest that accelerated through late 2025
  • Expanded addressable market for customers requiring fuel-based mobile charging

The Canadian airport order marks the official commercial launch of the e-Boost D Mobile platform.

Executive Commentary

“Securing over $1.75 million in new orders within the first few weeks of the year confirms the continued relevance of our broad suite of charging and power solutions,” said Nathan J. Mazurek, Chairman and CEO. “Our ability to deliver high-capacity, off-grid power solutions to customers across North America today is a more significant competitive advantage than ever before.”

Geo Murickan, President of Pioneer eMobility, added context on the company’s market positioning. “From electric school bus deployments in California and Florida to off-grid charging solutions for utilities in Southeastern U.S. and aviation mega-hub in Canada, we are removing the primary barriers to EV adoption,” Murickan said.

Market Implications

These orders reflect a broader industry trend. Organizations are increasingly bypassing multi-year utility upgrade timelines in favor of immediate off-grid power solutions. Pioneer has described this approach as “Energy-at-the-Edge,” targeting mission-critical fleet operations that cannot wait for grid infrastructure upgrades.

The company also referenced its PRYMUS platform, a mobile “Private Grid” solution designed for large-scale electrification. Potential applications include powering edge computing data centers, according to Pioneer.
