Polestar has officially started production of the Polestar 3 Long range Single motor variant in the United States. Manufactured at Polestar’s shared Volvo facility in Charleston, South Carolina, the new variant offers an impressive EPA-certified range of 350 miles, marking one of the longest ranges in its class. The Long range Single motor variant is now available for order, starting at $67,500, including a handover fee.

The entry-level Polestar 3 shares the 111 kWh battery pack with the Dual motor version and features 250 kW peak charging capability, enabling a quick 10-80% charge in just 30 minutes on a DC fast charger. This long-range model offers an affordable entry point into the Polestar 3 lineup while retaining Polestar’s distinctive performance and luxury qualities.
Michael Lohscheller, Polestar CEO, commented, “With the start of production of our Long range Single motor Polestar 3 in the US, we will now begin to deliver this car directly to North American customers. This new entry-point for our full-sized flagship electric SUV means Polestar 3 is now accessible to even more consumers than before, while still offering the dynamic and luxury hallmarks of our Dual motor versions.”
The Long range Single motor Polestar 3 allows for personalization through single options and pack structures. Customers can select from six exterior colors, five interior styles, and four wheel options. Notable options include the Bowers & Wilkins 25-speaker audio system, Bridge of Weir Nappa leather, and 1.3 megapixel LED headlights, all available with this variant.
Despite being a single motor variant, the Polestar 3 maintains the hallmarks of a performance SUV. It features a sophisticated passive damper system with Hydraulic Rebound Stops (HRS) and Frequency Selective Damping (FSD), enhancing ride comfort and control. The motor exclusively drives the rear axle, delivering 220 kW of power and 490 Nm of torque, resulting in 0-60 mph acceleration in 7.8 seconds. The Polestar 3 Long range Single motor also features the Brembo braking system used throughout the Polestar 3 lineup.
