Polestar Launches Mobile Service Program for the U.S.

MAHWAH, N.J. – Polestar, the electric performance car brand from Sweden, today announced the launch of a convenient mobile service program in the United States. The program enhances the Polestar customer experience, especially for those who currently do not live near a Polestar authorized service point.

Under the program, a Polestar technician will visit a customer’s location to perform an array of procedures, including software updates and minor repairs, eliminating the need to send a car long distance for maintenance. When complemented by the Polestar over the air (OTA) updates for Polestar 2, a remote customer will rarely ever need to send a car in for service during their ownership.

Customers located in the contiguous 48 states can request mobile service via Polestar’s 24/7 Customer Support by phone or online at polestar.com/contact.

“With Polestar’s mobile service offering, customers don’t need to worry about the distance between them and their nearest Polestar service point,” said Steve DeGrazio, Head of Customer Service & Quality, Polestar in North America. “Although Polestar Spaces are rapidly opening in most major cities, mobile service is a convenient solution for those without a local Polestar authorized service point.”

The mobile service program, which has been live since early May, supplements the technical support offered by Polestar authorized service points currently open in Austin, Boston, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix and the San Francisco Bay Area (Corte Madera and San Jose). Customers living within 150 miles of a Space or service point will still receive complimentary pickup, delivery and servicing of their vehicle.

Polestar continues to expand its retail network in the USA, with new Spaces opening regularly. The brand plans to establish a total of 35 Polestar Spaces across the United States by the end of 2022.

Polestar recently announced two additional versions of its acclaimed Polestar 2, for delivery later this year. Available in single or dual motor variants with curated equipment packs, the Polestar 2 is now accessible to a broader audience, while simultaneously adding range and reducing base pricing – all without sacrificing key features such as the Android Automotive OS with Google Assistant and Google Maps built-into the vehicle.

Polestar vehicles, including the Polestar 2 and the 619-horsepower electric performance hybrid Polestar 1, are available for purchase and delivery in all 50 states. Test drives with the Polestar 2 are available at local Polestar Spaces or can be coordinated at home in select cities from Polestar.com/test-drive. A heavily-optioned Polestar 2 can be leased as low as $475/month*. Orders can be placed at Polestar.com.
