Porsche is enhancing the electric vehicle ownership experience by providing its customers with access to the expansive Tesla Supercharger network. This move significantly increases charging convenience for Porsche EV drivers across North America, underscoring the brand’s commitment to offering both choice and ease of use for its clientele.

The NACS Adapter
To facilitate this new charging access, Porsche is providing a specialized NACS DC adapter. All new model year 2026 Porsche Taycan and Macan Electric models will include the adapter at no additional fee. Furthermore, owners of the model year 2025 Taycan and all existing Macan Electric models are eligible for a complimentary adapter and will be notified via their My Porsche app to reserve their device.
For customers with model year 2024 and older Taycan vehicles, the Porsche NACS DC adapter is available for purchase. The adapter can be bought from the Porsche Online Shop and at local Porsche Centers. The suggested retail price is $185. This device enables Porsche owners to charge their CCS-equipped Taycan and Macan Electric models at DC fast-charging stations with NACS-compatible cables, including the vast Tesla Supercharger network.
How to Access the Network
The program is beginning with a soft launch, allowing customers to use the network ahead of a full operational rollout. To use a NACS Tesla Supercharger, customers must first download and register on the Tesla app to activate the charging station. After activating the station, they can use their Porsche NACS DC adapter to connect the Supercharger cable to their vehicle.
It is important to note that other charging stations equipped with NACS handles, such as those from Ionna and Electrify America, can be activated directly through the My Porsche app. According to Timo Resch, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America, the company is continually working to make Porsche ownership as convenient as possible and will be adding more features to make the process even more seamless in the coming months.
Future Software and Integration
Porsche is also updating its in-vehicle software to support this expansion. All model year 2026 Taycan and Macan Electric models will include the necessary navigation features to find and route to these additional chargers. A complimentary software update will be provided to model year 2024 and 2025 Macan Electric models before the end of the year, with updates for model year 2025 and earlier Taycan variants to follow. These updates ensure that the vehicle’s charge-planning software incorporates the newly accessible charging locations for effortless travel.
