Tesla is recalling more than 475,000 of its Model 3 and Model S electric cars to address rearview camera and trunk issues that increase the risk of crashing, the U.S. road safety regulator said on Thursday.

Rivian is delaying deliveries of its 400-mile R1T pickup truck to 2023. In an email to customers obtained by Electrek, CEO RJ Scaringe said the company is prioritizing the production of R1T vehicles equipped with its 314-mile “Large pack” battery.

VinFast Commercial and Service Trading Co., Ltd held a ceremony to release and distribute to customers its first batch of VF e34 electric vehicles at VinFast’s manufacturing complex in Hai Phong, Vietnam. The event opened up an avenue to the era of Vietnamese EVs, making Vietnam one of the world’s few countries to have mastered the technology behind clean-energy vehicle production.

Geely Holding Group’s (Geely) premium electric brand, Zeekr, will collaborate with Waymo on the development of a new pure electric vehicle for deployment in the Waymo One autonomous ride-hailing fleet in the United States.

Arrival, pioneer of a unique new method of design and production of affordable electric vehicles (EVs) by local Microfactories, today announced it has started trials of the Arrival Bus at a testing facility in the UK. The vehicles will be going through rigorous validation and testing ahead of certification.

This week, the commissioning of the Northvolt Ett gigafactory in northern Sweden led to the assembly of the first battery cell. Marking a new chapter in European industrial history, the cell is the first to have been fully designed, developed and assembled at a gigafactory by a homegrown European battery company.

After years of technical innovation, Huiyi has now achieved a breakthrough in the energy density of its LFP 18650 battery. Energy density is a key measure of performance for lithium-ion battery products; higher densities reflect a company’s R&D capability and technical expertise.
