EV Development and Manufacturing
The companies have signed an agreement to develop two distinct Ford-branded electric passenger vehicles. These models will be built on the Ampere platform, leveraging Renault Group’s EV assets. This approach allows Ford to utilize established industrial capabilities to support a new product offensive.
Manufacturing is slated for Renault Group’s ElectriCity facilities in the North of France. The partnership combines Renault’s industrial scale with Ford’s design requirements. While sharing a platform, the vehicles will feature Ford’s specific driving dynamics and brand DNA.
