Revoy has introduced an innovative solution that seamlessly transitions diesel tractors to hybrids, promising to increase fuel efficiency by over 150%. This groundbreaking technology not only reduces carbon emissions significantly but also ensures substantial fuel cost savings for trucking enterprises.

The launch of the Revoy EV marks a pivotal moment in the quest to decarbonize the trucking sector. Designed as a straightforward add-on, it facilitates an effortless shift towards electric vehicles (EVs) without necessitating any modifications to existing trucks or trailers. By enhancing fuel efficiency from the typical 6-8 miles per gallon (mpg) to an impressive 20-35+ mpg, Revoy’s technology heralds a 70-90%+ reduction in emissions. This leap in efficiency translates to considerable financial savings for companies, even after accounting for Revoy’s service fees.

As the United States grapples with commercial trucks and fleets contributing to 6.7%¹ of its greenhouse gas emissions, Revoy’s efforts are a beacon of hope. The technology is already making strides on the roads, actively working towards reducing the carbon footprint of the trucking industry and supporting businesses in achieving their net-zero ambitions.

Ian Rust, the CEO and founder of Revoy, emphasizes the practicality of their solution against the backdrop of the industry’s challenges. “Trucking contributes 6.7% of all greenhouse gas emissions in the US. The current approach of wholly replacing diesel engines with batteries and electric motors is too abrupt of a transition for such a critical and underappreciated part of our economy,” he stated. Revoy’s model stands out by offering an electric commercial vehicle that prioritizes asset value, ensuring quick adaptability without the downtime associated with charging.

Revoy’s solution is not just about emission reduction but also addresses the operational efficiency and economic viability for truckers and fleet owners. The Revoy EV, equipped with a 525kWh LFP battery pack, allows for up to 235 miles of electric-powered travel. The unique selling proposition of Revoy lies in its swap station model, where truck drivers can exchange their depleted unit for a fully charged one in under five minutes, a significant reduction from the hours typically required for EV charging.

The benefits of adopting Revoy’s technology extend beyond environmental impact. It offers dramatic improvements in miles per gallon, extends the electric range for trucks, eliminates charging wait times, and has zero effect on the payload capacity. Additionally, it complies with national highway length laws and incorporates advanced safety features to mitigate common road hazards.

Founded by Ian Rust, a visionary with extensive experience in clean transportation, Revoy is backed by reputable investors including YCombinator, Transition Global, and Liquid2 Ventures. The team behind Revoy brings together over a century of expertise from leading organizations such as GM, Tesla, and the European Space Agency. Proudly made in the USA, Revoy’s technology adheres to stringent FMVSS standards and respects all relevant length and weight regulations.

About Revoy: At its core, Revoy is pioneering the path to a zero-emission future in trucking. Through its innovative charging infrastructure and swapping network, it aims to become the cornerstone of electric road freight, enabling fleets to significantly lower their environmental impact while enhancing operational efficiency.
