Scout Motors made its debut at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, unveiling the Scout® Traveler™ SUV and Scout® Terra™ truck concept vehicles alongside groundbreaking features like in-vehicle satellite connectivity and the Scout Community UX™ interface. These innovations highlight Scout’s commitment to blending heritage with modern technology, offering drivers enhanced connectivity and usability.

Key Highlights

  • First CES appearance: Scout Motors showcased the Traveler SUV and Terra truck at booth CP-412.
  • In-vehicle satellite connectivity: Available for both models, providing Wi-Fi hotspots and off-grid connectivity for rural and remote areas.
  • Scout Community UX™ interface: Combines tactile controls with advanced screens for a seamless and intuitive user experience.
  • Traveler SUV concept updates: Features such as the Harvester™ Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) option, rally-style graphics, roof racks, and a spare-tire-mounted gas can emphasize off-road readiness.

Scout Motors’ innovations aim to create vehicles that cater to consumer needs. CEO Scott Keogh emphasized, “To make a true Scout vehicle meant we had to listen to consumers and design a versatile tool for today.”

In-Vehicle Satellite Connectivity

Scout Motors unveiled satellite connectivity options for the Traveler and Terra models, enabling Wi-Fi hotspots for worksites, campsites, or home use. This feature is pre-wired for satellite internet and designed to support drivers in areas with limited cell service. Research indicated that 70% of consumers prioritize this feature for its practicality and reliability.

Scout Community UX™ Interface

The Scout Community UX™ interface debuted as an example of human-centered design, blending tactile and digital controls. The 16.2-inch, 24:9 ratio screen ensures visibility and easy access to essential features without overwhelming the driver. Chief Design Officer Chris Benjamin noted, “Our Community UX is grounded, warm, and approachable, yet it’s innovative and modern.”
