Toyota, Revel Partner for Free NYC Charging

Toyota Motor North America and Revel have announced a new partnership that will provide free access to DC fast charging for Toyota and Lexus electric vehicle (EV) customers in New York City. The program will run for nearly three years, ending on October 14, 2027, and aims to support the adoption of electric vehicles through increased charging convenience. Revel operates the largest network of public fast charging stations in New York City, providing 24/7 charging at several high-volume locations.

Key Highlights:

  • Complimentary DC fast charging for Toyota and Lexus battery EVs at Revel stations in NYC until October 2027.
  • Revel operates the largest public fast charging network in New York City, with four major stations offering both NACS and CCS plug types.
  • Toyota Ventures’ investment in Revel aims to support sustainable mobility and expand electrified solutions.

Revel’s charging network currently includes 64 fast charging stalls across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens, with plans to expand to 300 stalls within the next year. Upcoming projects include a 60-stall mega station in Maspeth, Queens, and a 48-stall station near LaGuardia Airport. Revel also has new developments underway in the Bay Area and recently signed its first lease for a downtown Los Angeles location.

Toyota Ventures, Toyota’s venture capital arm, initially invested in Revel in 2019, supporting its mission to expand urban electric vehicle infrastructure. This partnership is part of Toyota’s broader effort to promote the widespread adoption of electric vehicles by enhancing customer convenience and infrastructure.

“Charging should be a seamless experience and is crucial for customer satisfaction,” said Christopher Yang, group vice president, Toyota EV Charging Solutions. “Working with Revel will help elevate the charging experience for our customers in the New York City area while underscoring Toyota’s commitment to supporting sustainable mobility solutions and enhancing the ownership experience.”

Revel plans to continue expanding its fast charging footprint in key urban areas, working with partners like Toyota to make charging more accessible for EV owners. For further information on the program, visit Revel’s page for Toyota or Lexus.
