VinFast has strategically enhanced its market presence by signing agreements with 12 new dealers in the United States. This development is a part of VinFast’s ambitious plan to expand its distribution network and solidify its foothold in the competitive American automotive landscape. The company’s focus on increasing accessibility to its electric vehicles (EVs) through these additional dealerships underscores its commitment to becoming a significant player in the EV sector.

Key Highlights:

  • New Dealerships: 12 new VinFast dealership stores are set to open starting April 2024, increasing the total to 18 dealerships across seven states.
  • Extended Coverage: The expansion includes states like North Carolina, New York, Texas, Florida, Kansas, Connecticut, and Kentucky, with California already hosting 15 stores.
  • Upcoming Models: The dealerships will initially offer the VF 8 model, with the VF 9 and VF 7 models to follow.
  • Exceptional Warranty: VinFast offers a 10-year/125,000-mile vehicle warranty and a 10-year unlimited mileage battery warranty.
  • Parts and Service: A dedicated parts distribution center supports the nationwide dealer network to ensure high-quality maintenance and repairs.

Leveraging the network of stores, market experience, and capabilities of leading US dealers, VinFast will quickly deliver high-quality, competitively priced electric vehicles to consumers, along with outstanding after-sales policies,” stated Mr. David Duncan, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at VinFast US. He emphasized that these strategic partnerships are foundational for VinFast’s robust expansion in the US market.

In late 2023, VinFast transitioned from a direct-to-consumer model to a more scalable hybrid distribution strategy, emphasizing partnerships with established dealerships. This shift is expected to notably boost sales in the latter half of 2024. VinFast is not only expanding in the US but also exploring markets in Canada, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. The company is planning further expansions of its manufacturing capabilities with new facilities in the US, India, and potentially Indonesia.
