XPENG Expands Asia-Pacific EV Charging Network

XPENG enhances its global charging network through a new partnership, adding thousands of high-speed charging piles and introducing co-branded stations with exclusive benefits for drivers across key Southeast Asian markets.

XPENG, a global smart electric vehicle company, has announced a significant expansion of its fast-charging infrastructure across the Asia-Pacific region. The company is partnering with Charge Plus to add 3,800 public charging piles, growing its global partner network to over 2.4 million charging stations and enhancing charging convenience for its vehicle owners in Southeast Asia.

Key Highlights

  • Global Network Growth: XPENG’s partner charging network now includes over 2.4 million charging piles across Europe and the Asia-Pacific.
  • New Partnership: A new collaboration with Charge Plus adds 3,800 charging piles in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
  • High-Speed Charging: The first co-branded XPENG stations in the region will feature class-leading charging power of up to 350kW.
  • Exclusive Owner Benefits: XPENG owners will receive special charging discounts and seamless navigation to charging stations through their vehicle’s display.

Expanding Charging Access in Southeast Asia

Through a new partnership, XPENG will fully connect to the charging network operated by Charge Plus in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. This network includes Singapore’s largest public charging system, which holds over 30% of the local market share, and stations spanning 5,000 kilometers of highways across five countries.

This collaboration makes XPENG the first emerging Chinese EV brand to partner with Charge Plus in the region. The integration will connect the north-south expressway network across Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand, significantly increasing charging density and providing more interconnected service for XPENG owners.

Enhanced Owner Experience and Benefits

The first co-branded charging stations have begun operations in key cities across Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore, offering exclusive benefits to XPENG owners. By the end of the year, owners will be able to access special charging discounts at these locations.

The integration allows drivers to see real-time charging station status on their in-car display and navigate to available stations with a single click. Looking ahead, the two companies plan to deepen their collaboration on user benefits and intelligent services. By the end of 2025, XPENG aims to introduce a “drive-in, charge & go” experience with one-stop payment functions in its mobile app.

Leading with Advanced 800V Technology

This network expansion supports XPENG’s advanced vehicle lineup, including the G6, G9, and X9 models, which all feature 800V fast-charging capabilities. The new G6, built on XPENG’s next-generation 800V architecture, can charge from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes, with a peak charging power of 451kW. This performance is enabled by its 5C Supercharging AI Battery and pioneering lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery technology.
