Exterior and Interior Updates: The 2025 Sorento Hybrid showcases a sleeker and more distinctive look, thanks to new standard lighting elements, including Kia’s signature Star Map lighting in the front and rear, and amber daytime running lights. The new exterior colors—Cityscape Green, Mineral Blue, Interstellar Grey, and Volcanic Sand—along with the new Dust Blue interior palette, enhance the vehicle’s appeal. The Sorento Hybrid also features unique 19-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the Sorento Hybrid is equipped with a standard panoramic instrument panel that includes a 4.3-inch TFT and a 12.3-inch screen. The SX-P trim upgrades to a curved panoramic panel with 12.3-inch dual screens, unlocking Kia’s ultramodern Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) operating system, which offers faster processing speeds and available Digital Features and Services Over The Air (OTA) updates. Standard features include wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and USB-C ports throughout all three rows. The SX-P trim also adds a standard suede headliner, ventilated front seats, and Advanced Digital Key 2.0.

Performance and Fuel Efficiency: The Sorento Hybrid is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged Gas Direct Injection (GDI) I-4 engine, a 1.5 kWh battery, and a 44.2 kW electric motor, delivering a total of 227 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque through a 6-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle achieves an EPA-estimated 36 MPG combined (FWD models). For those seeking adventures beyond city limits, all-wheel drive is available on the Sorento Hybrid EX trim and standard on the SX-P.

Advanced Driver Convenience Systems: The 2025 Sorento Hybrid introduces new driver convenience systems, including Smart Cruise Control-Machine Learning (SCC-ML), which adapts to and matches driving styles, and Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA-2) with automatic lane change capabilities. These systems help the vehicle maintain a set distance from the vehicle ahead, stay within lane markers on select highways, and assist in lane changes under specific conditions.
