The 2027 Chevrolet Bolt has started shipping to dealerships from General Motors’ Fairfax Assembly Plant in Kansas, bringing a finalized 262-mile EPA-estimated range and a $28,995 starting MSRP. The revived compact EV reenters the market with a native NACS charging port, available Super Cruise hands-free driving, and a redesigned interior, positioning it as the lowest-priced battery-electric vehicle currently on sale in the United States.
Highlights
- Starting MSRP of $28,995 for the Bolt LT trim, destination included
- EPA-estimated range of 262 miles on a full charge
- Available peak DC fast-charge rate of 150 kW, supporting a 10-to-80 percent charge in 25 minutes
- First Chevrolet EV with a factory-installed NACS charging port
Finalized Range and Pricing
Chevrolet confirmed the 2027 Bolt LT carries a $28,995 starting MSRP with destination freight included. GM describes the model as the most affordable EV currently available in the United States, based on a comparison with current competitive data.
The EPA-estimated range has been finalized at 262 miles on a full charge. That figure is an increase over the 255-mile estimate GM provided when the revived Bolt was first announced last year. Chevrolet says the 2027 Bolt offers the longest range of any EV priced under $30,000.

Charging and Connectivity
The 2027 Bolt is the first Chevrolet battery-electric vehicle to ship with a native North American Charging Standard port, giving owners direct access to Tesla Supercharger locations without an adapter. A peak DC fast-charge rate of 150 kW supports a 10-to-80 percent battery replenishment in 25 minutes at a compatible public station.
The move follows a broader industry shift toward NACS standardization. Other automakers, including Stellantis, have announced similar factory-installed NACS rollouts across their battery-electric lineups.
Interior Technology and Super Cruise
Inside, the Bolt features an 11.3-inch-diagonal center touchscreen with Google built-in and an 11-inch-diagonal driver information cluster. The larger displays replace the smaller screens used in the previous-generation Bolt and are shared with other GM vehicles — a sourcing decision Chevrolet has previously described as central to holding the vehicle’s price point.
The 2027 Bolt is also the most affordable vehicle in the United States to offer GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance system, according to the company. A Bolt equipped with Super Cruise carries an MSRP of $35,655. Units fitted with the technology are now in transit to dealerships.
