Design and Features

The Equinox EV showcases a bold, athletic design typical of a Chevy SUV, available in two distinct personalities: LT and RS. Key design elements include:

  • Sleek lines and sporty proportions enabled by the Ultium Platform.
  • Innovative walk-up lighting with front and rear animation.
  • Standard 19-inch wheels and available 21-inch wheels depending on the trim.
  • AutoSense liftgate for hands-free opening.

Inside, the Equinox EV features a modern interior with room for five, personalized multi-color ambient lighting, and a smart infotainment system with Google Built-in. The cabin offers up to 57.2 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded.

Safety is a top priority with the Equinox EV, offering:

The Equinox EV features a standard front-wheel-drive system with 213 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque, providing quick acceleration for daily tasks. For those seeking more power, an eAWD system with 288 horsepower and 333 lb-ft of torque is available. One-Pedal Driving and regenerative braking help maximize driving range.

Charging capabilities include:

  • Standard 11.5 kW Level 2 (AC) charging, adding up to 34 miles of range per hour.
  • Standard DC fast-charging capability of up to 150 kW, adding approximately 70 miles of range in 10 minutes.

The Equinox EV’s battery is covered by an 8-year/100,000-mile limited warranty, in addition to standard bumper-to-bumper coverage.

Fleet and Retail Availability

The Equinox EV is also available for fleet customers, offering the benefits of zero-emissions driving, reduced maintenance, and no gas stops. Bell highlights that it can help fleet customers save time and money, especially those driving over 20,000 miles a year.

The Equinox EV is now available, produced at GM’s Ramos Arizpe, Mexico, facility.
