Alpine has officially unveiled the A390, an all-electric sport fastback, marking the second model in its “Dream Garage” lineup. Revealed at Alpine’s home in Dieppe, the A390 is described as a “racing car in a suit,” designed to embody the brand’s DNA by prioritizing driving pleasure and versatility.
Key Highlights:
- All-Electric Powertrain: The A390 features three electric motors (one front, two rear) creating an all-wheel-drive system, a first for Alpine.
- Performance: The GTS version boasts 470 hp and 808 Nm of torque, achieving 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.9 seconds. The GT version offers 400 hp and a 0-100 km/h time of 4.8 seconds.
- Alpine Active Torque Vectoring: This new system enhances dynamism, safety, and agility by actively distributing torque between the rear wheels.
- Range and Charging: The A390 is equipped with an 89 kWh battery, offering a WLTP range of up to 555 km (approx. 345 miles). DC fast charging can reach 190 kW, allowing a recharge from 15% to 80% in under 25 minutes.
- French Manufacturing: The A390 is designed and manufactured in France, with engines from Cléon and Verkor batteries produced in Dunkirk and assembled in Douai.
- Interior and Technology: The five-seat interior features a driver-oriented cockpit with 12.3-inch and 12-inch high-definition screens, Nappa leather, and a Devialet audio system. It includes Alpine Telemetrics for driving data and coaching.

The A390 aims to expand Alpine’s customer base by offering a blend of sportiness, performance, technology, and refinement suitable for both everyday use and spirited driving. Its design incorporates aerodynamic efficiency with distinctive styling, including a helmet visor-shaped rear window and “Cosmic Dust” triangular front lighting. The car’s dimensions are 4.615 m in length, 1.885 m in width, and 1.532 m in height, with a wheelbase of 2.708 m and a boot capacity of 532 liters.
Engineers focused on delivering Alpine’s signature agility despite the C-segment format by overhauling the AmpR Medium platform. The car features a low center of gravity and an ideal weight distribution of 49% front and 51% rear. The chassis settings are designed to replicate the A110’s renowned handling characteristics. Bespoke Michelin tires, available in 20-inch and 21-inch options, were co-developed for optimal grip and range.

The driving experience is enhanced by features like five driving modes (Save, Normal, Sport, Perso, and Track), an Overtake boost function, and adjustable regenerative braking. Alpine Drive Sound provides audible feedback to the driver, with two distinct tones available. The A390 also incorporates advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and the Alpine Portal system built on Android Automotive with Google Automotive Services.
The A390 will be available in GT and GTS trim packages. An “Alpine A390 Première” edition will be offered to initial buyers two weeks before general orders open in Q4 2025.
