Accelera by Cummins, Daimler Truck, and PACCAR have successfully formed their joint venture, Amplify Cell Technologies, to localize battery cell production and supply chain in the U.S.
This collaboration aims to advance zero-emissions technology for electric commercial vehicles and industrial applications. Amplify will soon start constructing a 21-gigawatt hour (GWh) factory in Marshall County, Mississippi, expected to create over 2,000 jobs and begin production by 2027. The joint venture is equally owned by Accelera, Daimler Truck, and PACCAR, with EVE Energy contributing its expertise in battery cell design and manufacturing.

Kel Kearns, with a career spanning several decades in the automotive and manufacturing industries, will lead Amplify in producing differentiated lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery cells for North American commercial vehicle customers.
