Audi of America has expanded its electric vehicle lineup with the introduction of the 2025 Q6 e-tron model line. The new range includes the rear-wheel-drive Q6 e-tron, as well as the all-wheel-drive Q6 e-tron quattro and the performance-oriented SQ6 e-tron. This expansion brings Audi’s battery electric vehicle (BEV) offerings to a total of 11 distinct models across four e-tron lines by the end of 2024.
Built on the all-new Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture, the Q6 e-tron represents Audi’s most technologically advanced BEV to date. The new E3 1.2 electronic architecture introduces advanced technologies, including an all-new MMI user interface. The PPE platform will also underpin future Audi models, such as the upcoming A5 and Q5.
The rear-wheel-drive Q6 e-tron is powered by a single permanently excited synchronous (PSM) rear motor, delivering 302 hp (322 hp with launch control). It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds and achieves a top track speed of 130 mph. When equipped with the ultra package, which includes 18-inch wheels and low rolling resistance tires, it offers an EPA-estimated range of 321 miles, making it the longest-range SUV in Audi’s BEV lineup.
The Q6 e-tron quattro features dual electric motors on the front and rear axles, providing 422 hp (456 hp with launch control). It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds and has an estimated EPA range of 307 miles. The SQ6 e-tron offers enhanced performance with 483 hp (509 hp with launch control), achieving 0 to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds and a top track speed of 143 mph. It has an EPA-estimated range of 275 miles.
All models are equipped with a 100-kWh 800-volt battery pack, supporting DC fast-charging speeds up to 270 kW (260 kW for RWD models). This allows for charging from 10 to 80 percent state of charge in as little as 21 minutes. The battery system uses a new design with fewer cells and advanced thermal management, improving efficiency and reducing weight.
The Q6 e-tron introduces a new generation of electric motors that are more efficient and compact than previous models. The rear motor’s losses due to drag have been reduced by approximately 50 percent, enhancing overall efficiency.
Inside, the Q6 e-tron features a spacious interior with 38.5 inches of front headroom and up to 60.2 cubic feet of storage space with the rear seats folded. The cabin showcases a new digital interior called the Digital Stage, comprising an 11.9-inch Audi OLED virtual cockpit and a 14.5-inch center touch OLED display. An optional 10.9-inch MMI passenger display is also available.
The vehicle debuts the new E3 1.2 high-performance electronic architecture, which enables advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and new infotainment features. The Q6 e-tron offers an array of standard ADAS features, including adaptive cruise control, lane change warning, and traffic sign recognition.
Deliveries of the 2025 Audi Q6 e-tron, Q6 e-tron quattro, and SQ6 e-tron will begin before the end of 2024. Pricing starts at $63,800 for the rear-wheel-drive Q6 e-tron.
