bp has launched its first bp pulse electric vehicle (EV) charging hub at a TravelCenters of America (TA) site in Jacksonville, Florida. The location, featuring 12 ultra-fast EV charging bays, is part of a broader expansion plan, with over 40 charging hubs expected to open across the TA network nationwide.

- Located along I-95, the site includes 400kW DC fast chargers, providing quick and efficient charging.
- Amenities available include restaurants, WiFi, ATMs, and a convenience store, enhancing the customer experience.
- bp aims to expand its EV network, targeting over 100,000 charging bays globally by 2030.
- TravelCenters of America continues to support both traditional and alternative fuel options.
bp executives and local officials attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony on January 24, 2025, celebrating the company’s expansion into highway-based EV charging infrastructure.
Expanding Fast Charging Access
Sujay Sharma, CEO of bp pulse Americas, emphasized the importance of strategic placement along key highway corridors to ensure drivers can charge their EVs conveniently while traveling. He noted:

bp pulse, which has already installed 37,500 EV charging bays worldwide, is actively rolling out high-speed charging hubs to support growing EV adoption.
