BYD has introduced the ATTO 3 EVO, a significant update to its electric family SUV for European markets. The updated model moves to BYD’s e-Platform 3.0 architecture. It gains an 800V electrical system, a larger battery, and an available all-wheel-drive configuration. First deliveries are expected in spring 2026.

Powertrain and Platform Details
The ATTO 3 EVO transitions from a front-wheel-drive layout to rear- or all-wheel drive. Rear suspension shifts from a four-link to a five-link system. Both changes are enabled by BYD’s e-Platform 3.0.
Two trim levels are available. The rear-wheel-drive Design uses a single permanent magnet synchronous rear motor. The all-wheel-drive Excellence adds an AC asynchronous front motor.

Both trims share a 74.8kWh BYD Blade Battery using lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry. The pack integrates directly into the chassis via Cell-to-Body (CTB) technology. DC charging peaks at 220kW, while AC charging supports 11kW three-phase at up to eight hours for a full charge.
Each version offers a braked towing capacity of 1,500 kg. Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability provides up to 3kW of external power output.
Design and Practicality Updates
External dimensions remain unchanged at 4,455mm long, 1,875mm wide, and 1,615mm tall. The wheelbase holds at 2,720mm. Visual updates include revised bumpers, new 18-inch alloy wheels, slimmer side skirts, and a restyled roof spoiler.
Cargo volume increases by 50 liters to 490 liters with rear seats upright. Folding the split rear seats expands capacity to 1,360 liters. A new front trunk adds 101 liters of storage.
Inside, a column-mounted gear selector replaces the center console shifter. This change opens up more cabin space. The instrument panel features an 8.8-inch digital display.
Technology and Infotainment
The ATTO 3 EVO features a 15.6-inch central touchscreen. The infotainment system integrates Google Maps, Google Play Store, and Google Assistant. An AI-enhanced voice assistant uses a cloud-based large language model for natural speech commands.
Additional standard features include:
- NFC vehicle access via phone or wearable device
- Wireless smartphone charging with integrated cooling
- Four USB-C ports (two at 60W, two at 18W)
- Ambient cabin lighting
- 360-degree surround-view camera with front and rear parking sensors
Safety and Driver Assistance
The CTB construction contributes to structural rigidity and crash performance. The ATTO 3 EVO includes seven airbags: driver, front passenger, front center, front side, and side curtain.
Driver-assistance systems include:
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC)
- Front and Rear Cross Traffic Alert
- Blind Spot Detection
- Lane Departure Assist
- Front and Rear Collision Warning
- Traffic Sign Recognition and Intelligent Speed Limit Control
Trim Level Differences
The Design trim comes standard with the digital instrument panel, touchscreen infotainment, wireless charging, V2L, a heat pump, and electrically adjustable heated front seats.
The Excellence adds the following:
- Head-up display
- Heated rear seats
- Panoramic sunroof with electric sunshade
Both trims offer six exterior paint colors and two interior shade options.
Availability and Warranty
The ATTO 3 EVO is available to order now. BYD backs the vehicle with a six-year manufacturer warranty. Battery coverage extends to eight years or 155,350 miles, with a guaranteed State of Health (SOH) of at least 70%.
