BYD has achieved a significant milestone by opening its 100th dealership in Brazil. This expansion is a testament to the growing acceptance of electric vehicles in the country. The latest dealership, located in Florianópolis, is part of a broader plan to reach 250 stores by the end of 2024, in partnership with the DVA Group, a major automotive dealer in the region.

The DVA Group, established in 1972, has a strong presence in the automotive market in Santa Catarina and represents several global premium brands. Their first BYD dealership opened in October 2022 in Itajaí, followed by another in São José in November 2022.
Paulo Toniolo Jr, the company’s director, stated: “The DVA Group is happy and very honored to be part of the success that BYD represents. Our partnership started in 2022, in the first phase of selecting dealership groups in Brazil. Now, we are inaugurating the third unit in Santa Catarina, in the city of Florianópolis, marking the hundredth BYD dealership in Brazil. DVA consolidates this success of BYD in the state and, as one of the largest groups in the southern region of Brazil, will open 6 more units, totaling 9 DVA BYD dealerships by the end of the year, bringing the brand closer to Santa Catarina consumers and expanding the DVA Group’s business in Santa Catarina.”
BYD’s ambitious goal in Brazil is to have 250 dealerships by the end of the year, encompassing both new and existing stores. The current network includes 39 dealership groups with 100 active locations and 135 designated ones. Tyler Li concludes, “We will continue to surprise the Brazilian market and bring many new developments in 2024. Our upcoming launches will exceed all expectations, with new concepts and BYD’s unique technology.”
